Getting to London...

The trip to London was long and arduous. We flew from Cleveland to JFK on a 1:30 flight. We landed in JFK at 3 but our flight out to London wasn't until 10:30PM! Luckily, JFK is complicated and it took about an hour or two just to get bags, get from one terminal to the next, check bags, get through security, and find our gate. Here's me on the escalator at JFK!

After we sat in the airport for hours we finally boarded the plane! Got to sit in "premium economy" which was a very nice surprise. We got to London around 10:30 but by the time we cleared customs and the NYUL shuttle came and took us to our dorm it was 3:00. We got a quick view of the city as we drove from Heathrow but not very much (luckily we're taking a bus tour today!).

The next few days were just getting food, miscellaneous housewares, and figuring out phones (which I finally did! Email and BBM away!). We've had some NYU-sponsored tours and activities, which was nice, but probably the most fun is just being able to go out and walk around our neighborhood and meet local people. I'm a bit frustrated I haven't seen any quintessential "Londony" areas (Thames, Big Ben, London Eye, etc.) but hopefully we'll get it all on the tour today!
Waiting for the shuttle to take us to our terminal!

More pictures to come!
